How do I Get to Aspen?

Several daily flights land at Aspen's little airport, Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, which serves the town of Aspen. There are also direct buses and shuttles from Denver and other surrounding airports, such as Eagle County. The I-70 highway connects Denver to the Roaring Fork Valley if you're driving there. You may exit onto Highway 82 in Glenwood Springs by taking the I-70 from either direction. The only available road into Aspen during the Winter is Highway 82, which offers a straight route there.

Which is the best mountain in Aspen For beginners?

In addition to skiing and a sizable range of more straightforward blue courses, the mountains at Buttermilk and Snowmass also offer green (beginning) routes. Both mountains provide dedicated lift zones with beginner-friendly ski and snowboarding tracks. These mountains also feature a long run higher up the ski hill that allows you to try yourself a bit more without becoming too steep if you are still learning but want to explore a little more.

What should I bring to Aspen in Winter?

You'll need all of your ski and snowboard equipment if you're going to hit the slopes. The neighborhood sporting goods and rental stores provide alternatives for everyone if you can't fit everything you need. Otherwise, bring warm clothing! Bring your favorite heavy jacket and winter boots to prepare for the Aspen snow.

How long is the Winter in Aspen?

In Aspen, the snowfall season begins in November. Around the Thanksgiving holiday, the mountains open to skiing for the general public. Then, until April, we have an unbroken ski season. Every mountain will have its closure days during the last few weeks of April. However, certain mountains remain open until June if Aspen receives good snowfall!
